Together with shelters and animal welfare organizations, we make often overlooked animals visible and support them on their journey from shelter to a loving home. Our stories are authentic, our work is transparent, and our hearts beat for sustainable animal welfare – both locally and internationally.

Visibility for Those Who Usually Don’t Get a Chance
We work with various shelters and rescue centers and intentionally give visibility to the animals who are most often overlooked – older, fearful, sick, or long-waiting animals.
Support from Shelter to Home
WanderPaws supports animals throughout their entire journey: from the shelter to a loving home. We think not only locally but also internationally – always focusing on safety, responsibility, and the well-being of the animals.

Complement, Not a Replacement for Shelters
WanderPaws does not replace shelters – we complement them.
We help shelters make their animals more visible, build reach, collect donations, and find the right families for their animals. At the same time, we support shelters in building a sustainable social media presence so they can reach more people on their own.
Our Inspiration
The inspiration for WanderPaws did not come from an idea, but from lived experience.
About a year and a half ago, it all started with street cats. During a two-month stay in Bangkok in early 2024, Yvonne saw animals every day that were sick, injured, or completely on their own. Instead of looking away, she acted: street cats were taken off the streets, given medical care, and brought to a rescue center (PAWS Bangkok) through fundraising.
Later, these cats were able to move into a cat café – a place where they were not only safe, but suddenly visible. There, their chances of finding a loving home increased massively. This experience showed her clearly what is possible when visibility, structure, and compassion come together.
Another decisive turning point was inspiration from the Netherlands. When Yvonne learned in September 2025 that all animal shelters there were empty, she began to research:
How could that be?
What had they done differently?
The answer was clear: education, strong networks, consistent adoption work, and a society that had taken responsibility. This knowledge became an inner starting signal – now was the right moment to build something of her own.
For years, Niall Harbison and his project Happy Doggo have also been a great inspiration. His tireless commitment, the consistent visibility of street animals, and the proof that social media can save lives have strongly shaped what WanderPaws is today.
From all these experiences, the desire was born to create something of our own:
A platform that doesn’t just show animals – but creates real chances.
And that’s how WanderPaws was born 💖

With WanderPaws, we want to achieve far more than simply making individual animals visible. Our vision is to build a movement that gives homeless animals real, sustainable chances – for a safe life, love, and a home.
